Materials I Use
Head Bases: I typically print my own bases from TPU AIR which is very lightweight and has a decent amount of give. My bases are NOT hard. They have decent give to them but enough structure to keep their shape well and allow for expressive/sharp facial details.
Furs: A combination of shaved luxury shag, regular luxury shag, and fox fur for the longer sections
Lining: Neoprene
Ears: Shaped foam, luxury shag, and minky typically attached with a combination of sewing/gluing
Eyes: Bases I generally print using a PLA filament and eye meshes are either sublimated myself for more complex eye designs or purchased from other makers for more simple available designs
Other: Mixture of minky, scuba knit, felt, velcro, various foams, polyester thread, and contact cement

I require AT LEAST 50% payment upfront before I begin ANY work to protect my time and reserve your spot. This payment is NON-REFUNDABLE, but I'm reasonable. Depending on how much work has been done on my end, I may refund you a portion of the deposit. The amount refunded is completely up to my discretion. If you commission me, you are agreeing to this term.

Example Commission Agreement
Payment Schedule:
A deposit of AT LEAST 50% is required before work begins. Full payment is also accepted.
The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion, prior to shipment of the finished head.
Payments are non-refundable once work has begun, except at the Artist’s discretion.
Estimated Completion Timeline:
The Client acknowledges that all completion dates provided are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed deadlines. Custom fursuit making is subject to variables including (but not limited to) material availability, design complexity, revisions, shipping delays, illness, or unforeseen circumstances.
The Artist agrees to make reasonable efforts to complete the commission within the estimated timeframe and to communicate any significant delays. Delays alone do not constitute grounds for refunds, chargebacks, or cancellation once work has begun.
Revisions:
Reasonable revisions are included as determined by the Artist.
If requested changes require significant additional labor or fall outside the original scope, additional fees may apply.
Shipping:
Shipping costs to deliver the completed head to the Client are not included in the commission price and will be invoiced separately after shipment.
Once the package is handed to the shipping carrier, Artist is not responsible for loss, delay, or damage incurred during transit.
Cancellation & Termination:
If the Client cancels the commission after work has begun, all payments may be forfeited at the Artist’s discretion, though the Artist remains open to discussion depending on the stage of completion.
If the Artist must cancel the commission, unused funds will be refunded.
Abandonment:
If the Client becomes unresponsive for 30 days or more, the commission may be considered abandoned with no refund owed.
Chargebacks:
Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated by the Client void this Agreement and may result in the forfeiture of the commission and/or legal action to recover funds and fees.
Ownership & Use:
Upon full payment, the client owns the physical fursuit head.
Knotty Dog Studios retains the right to use images of the work for portfolio, promotional, and social media purposes.
